Alan M. Chan is the founder and managing member of AMCTaxGuy. He has over 10 years of income tax experience, with expertise in the creative arts and entertainment industry, serving clients nationwide. His professional journey includes 8 years as a tax manager with a New York City-based boutique firm, spearheading the meticulous preparation, review, and approval of a wide spectrum of personal and business tax returns.

Alan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the New York State Department of Education. He is a graduate of Baruch College, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy and a Master of Science in Taxation.

When Alan isn't buried by tax documents, he enjoys immersing himself in fictional worlds of high fantasy novels, playing strategic board games and pretending to be a beginner on the billiards table.
